Attention Neighbors: The Cub Scout Pack 1121 Annual Scouting for Food event is fast approaching. April 28, from 8-10 am, Cub Scouts will be walking the neighborhoods which are zoned to Dickinson elementary, to collect non-perishable food donations for the Helping Hands of Richmond/Rosenberg food pantry.
If you would like to contribute, please place items clearly in view on your front porch by 8am, in a box or bag, labeled for the Cub Scouts. We will also be collecting at the front of Dickinson Elementary from 8:30- about 11:00 am, in case you would like to bring items directly, or for the residents who live outside of the Dickinson zone.
We thank you all in advance- each year, Greatwood’s generosity provides thousands of pounds of food for families in need in our area through these events.
Suggested donations are: canned meats (ham, tuna, chili), canned vegetables, soups, dry goods such as rice, beans, and flour, Mac-n-cheese, nut butters, canned or dry fruit, granola bars, powdered formula. Cub Scouts cannot handle alcohol, tobacco, or accept anything expired (pantry cannot accept expired foods, including canned).
Greatwood sections zoned to Dickinson, which Cub Scouts will walk door-to-door: Bend, Crossing, Fairway Vistas, Forest, Glen, Green, Knoll, Landing, Manor, Shores, Trails, Village.
